Comfrey Oil Infusion
Ingredients -
Dried Comfrey Root and leaves
Apricot Kernel Oil (Or any carrier oil you prefer)
Vitamin E (Also helps with preserving)
Chop all the ingredients and fill your jar nice and tight. Top up with your carrier oil and leave in a cool dark place for approximately 2 months.
Strain out the root and leaves, stir in a small amount of Vitamin E oil and store in the refrigerator.
Another incredibly beneficial plant is Comfrey! Commonly known as knit bone, boneset and slippery root (for obvious reasons).. Containing the compound allantoin which boosts cell growth and repair. When used topically it accelerates the healing of bones, skin and wounds, it inhibits the growth of bacteria helping prevent infections and minimising scarring. It is also and excellent anti-inflammatory and relieves pain, inflammation and swelling in joints and muscles.
Here I am making another Oil infusion to create the best possible, Natural home grown/made healing, pain relief cream. I'm looking forward to trying the final results
Comfrey is also an Excellent fertiliser for your garden!
